Public First were commissioned by ICON to conduct a nationally representative survey of adults in England, to understand attitudes across the country.
Public First carried out both focus groups and polling, seeking to understand changing perceptions within neighbourhoods and how these correspond with ICON's Hyper-Local Need Index (HLNI).
The findings show a sense of decline across all areas, however this is much more apparent in the most deprived areas, according to the HLNI.
Public First sought to understand voter intention across neighbourhoods. The findings show concerns around certain issue areas are more likely to correspond with specific voter intentions. Concern over local issues such as potholes, high-streets, and overdevelopment were more likely to correspond with a higher percentage of those intending to vote Reform UK.
The findings from both the polling and focus groups informed ICON's Interim Report, Think Neighbourhoods. Access the polling data and full report from Public First.
