Today, the government has launched its Plan for Neighbourhoods. This announcement promises £1.5bn to neighbourhoods across the country that are falling behind on the government’s priorities.

In response to the launch of the Plan for Neighbourhoods, Baroness Hilary Armstrong, chair of the Independent Commission on Neighbourhoods, said:

“I warmly welcome this announcement from the government. This is a good first step in the right direction.

Given the challenges in our neighbourhoods, there is much more work to be done. National renewal demands neighbourhood renewal.”

Tomorrow, Wednesday 5th March, the Independent Commission on Neighbourhoods launches its interim report. You can sign-up to attend or stream the launch here.
