Chaired by Baroness Hilary Armstrong, the Board has played a critical role in driving ICON our launch in September 2024.
As our work progresses, we are expanding the Board. We are particularly interested in representatives with experience of the following sectors:
– Community leadership and development, be that volunteers or staff members, spanning charities, CICs, faith groups, sports clubs, food banks and others.
– Wider public sector, particularly those involved in the delivery of services, e.g. policing, health, education, social care.
– Funders of community-led change nationally or locally.
– Academics and policy researchers investigating the causes of spatial decline and developing solutions to address them.
– Small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly manufacturing firms.
– Central and local government.
Across all these areas of expertise, we are particularly interested in hearing from those with expertise and experience of supporting ex-industrial and coastal communities.
Please send short Expressions of Interest by Friday 12th June to info@neighbourhoodscommission.org.uk
