The Independent Commission on Neighbourhoods (ICON) recently visited East Marsh in Grimsby as part of its ongoing commitment to listening to communities across the country.

ICON Chair, Baroness Hilary Armstrong, was joined by Commissioners David Halpern CBE and Matt Leach, along with members of the ICON Secretariat.

The visit was hosted by East Marsh United,

A walking tour of East Marsh followed, giving Commissioners the opportunity to see the area firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the neighbourhood.

Later in the day, the Commission held a roundtable with local community leaders and stakeholders to explore the key issues affecting East Marsh and to hear about the practical steps being taken to address them.

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make the visit and roundtable discussion possible, particularly the team at East Marsh United.
